Remember November® Lung Cancer Awareness Month
Although November is lung cancer awareness month, for us, every month is lung cancer awareness month (LCAM) which is why we are constantly trying to raise awareness about lung cancer. However, with Remember November® we want to ingrain in people's minds that November just doesn't mean Thanksgiving, it's a time to give thanks to all of those who have helped us in our mission in the fight against lung cancer; and a time to remember those affected by lung cancer and pay tribute to their honor.

2008 Agenda
- We put up a digital ad in the San Jose International Airport reaching hundreds of thousands of travelers.

- We're putting out dozens of PSA's nationwide reminding everyone to Remember November®! It's lung cancer awareness month.
- Know a
teacher?
This year, we will continue with our community outreach program in middle
and high schools. For a one day lesson plan on how to illustrate to children
and teens that they will NOT be more popular, more athletic, more
attractive, more daring or courageous if they smoke.

- See students raising awareness in Spencer, Nebraska.
2007 Agenda
1. We
distributed 4000 coffee cup sleeves and 1500 brown paper bags to local merchants
in San Francisco.
2. We passed out 1000 cards with information about lung cancer to local
residents.
3. We sponsored an ad in SF Weekly editorial newsletter.
4. We sent educational materials to teachers at several middle schools and high
schools across the country.
5. We passed out Willpower t-shirts to the faculty at Pennsbury School
District made announcements and spread the word about the Great American
Smokeout on Thursday, Nov. 15th
6. Pennsbury High School Outreach program sold buttons and passed out brochures
to other students in honor of lung cancer awareness month.
7. We printed up frisbees with the message and distributed them during 1st
Annual Kites for Cancer Awareness 2007.
8. We advertised it in our November newsletter
